FRESH FALL FACE

FallFreshFaceI love the natural flush you get after taking a brisk walk in the crisp fall air — so vibrant and glowing, no makeup required! But this look fades as you head back inside where it’s warm and cozy, and settle down into your routine (for me that’s sitting or standing still in front of my laptop). So, to get and keep the look all day long, even while staring at my computer, I’ve replicated it with just a few fantastic, clean multi-functional clean products. Read on to see the products I used. And share any products you love for a fresh-faced fall look.

⭐️100% PURE Lip and Cheek Stain in Cherry

This product is great for a pinched-cheek look. It blends well and lasts for hours, even over your face oils. While I didn’t use on my lips in this look, you certainly can if you want want more color on your lips. And because it’s made with clean ingredients, it’s no problem if you’re a lip-licker like I am. In fact, this products is LOADED with organic, anti-oxidant rich ingredients (red wine!), so you may even do a bit of good.

Here’s a list of the ingredients taken from the 100% Pure website:

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf (Organic Aloe Juice)*, Vegetable Glycerin, Extracts of Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Flower, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf, Vaccinium Myrtillus (Blueberry Skin), Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Juice, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate), Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root, Vaccinium Myrtillus (Bilberry), Red Wine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed, Lonicera Caprifolium Flower and Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower *Certified organic

⭐️W3LL PEOPLE Natural Bio Correct Multi-Action Concealer in MEDIUM

This concealer is nice and creamy and covers my circles whether they’re from lack of sleep (more purplish) or allergies (more reddish). It’s packed with powerful ingredients like pomegranate, pumpkin, and coffee seed oils, green tea, and  peptides to help depuff, brighten, and improve and protect your skin. It blends easily and beautifully and also is amazing at covering up spots. When I apply this concealer I focus on the dark areas under my eyes, the inner corners where shadows live, and on even on my upper lids on the days I’m not well rested. It is definitely a must have for me.

Here’s a list of the ingredients taken from the W3LL PEOPLE website:

⭐️W3LL PEOPLE Expressionist Mascara in Pro Black

I love this mascara because it goes on smoothly, does not clump, and even when it’s dry my lashes feel soft to the touch. I can apply it lightly for a bit of volume and length (like in the picture above) or layer it for more impact. It’s super dark black and doesn’t smudge on my upper lashes. If I apply on the bottom lashes I need to make sure I apply some powder to my lower lids and lashes first, otherwise it will smear because every skin care product I use has oils. And you can also use a thin layer of powder on your lashes between coats to build even thicker, longer lashes with serious drama.

Here’s a list of the ingredients taken from the W3LL PEOPLE website:

Aqua (Water), Cera Alba (Beeswax)*,C10-18 Tryglycerides, Stearic Acid, Copernica Cerifera Cera / Copernicia Cerifera Cera (Canuba) Wax*, Castor Isostearate Beeswax Succinate, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Glycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Benzoate, Xanthum Gum, Cellulose, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil / Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil [+/-Cl 77891 Titanium Dioxide, Cl 77491 and Cl 77499 Iron Oxides, Cl 77007 Ultramarines, Cl 74570 Carmine] *Ingredient from Organic Farming

This mascara is not vegan; it contains beeswax.

⭐️HURRAW! Lip Balm in Black Cherry, Tinted

Organic, vegan, raw, this sheer tinted lip balm is a must-have for me. I love a little bit of color on my lips to subtly brighten my face, with a lot of moisture to plump, and this product delivers! I can apply it easily, without a mirror, and in a pinch, I also use it on my cheeks for a light, moisture-infused flush. These are cheap enough to stock up on ($3.79 on their website) and I keep one in my purse, work bag, and vanity so I’m never without one.

Here’s a list of the ingredients taken from the Hurraw! website:

Ingredients (INCI): Carthamus tinctorius (safflower) seed oil*, Prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil*, Euphorbia cerifera cera (candelilla) wax, Theobroma cacao (cacao) seed butter*, Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil*, Ricinus communis (castor) seed oil*, Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil*, Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil*, natural flavor, Tocopherol, Alkanna tinctoria (alkanet) root extract

AND DON’T FORGET YOUR SUNBLOCK!

Remember, you need to wear sunblock rain or shine, and that goes for all skin tones. It’s the UVA rays you need to be concerned about. They are ALWAYS present during daylight hours, penetrate glass and clouds, and are equally strong every day of the year. You can’t escape them unless you lock yourself in a windowless room every day. These rays don’t burn you, but cause damage in the deepest layers of your skin, making it the hardest type of skin damage to correct. And even worse, they contribute to the formation of skin cancers* (click here to read more). So, I NEVER skip sunblock, even if I don’t leave the house and it’s pouring rain outside. In this pic I used:

⭐️JUICE BEAUTY Stem Cellular CC Cream in Warm Glow SPF 30

This CC cream smooths and evens skin tone while providing tons of moisture. I love that it uses only  zinc oxide, because it is the safest known sunblock, and provides broad spectrum coverage. Zinc can be a bit drying, but not in this formula, which is packed with anti-oxidants that also help fend off damage from UV exposure and pollution. It blends in easily, and adapts to your skin color without leaving any white residue. Because this product is super moisturizing, it may not work well for those with oilier skin, unless you apply a bit of powder on top of it to take away any shine.

Here is a list of ingredients taken from the Juice Beauty website:

Active Ingredient: Zinc Oxide 20%

Juice Beauty proprietary blend of fruit stem cells: apple buds, grape buds & lemon leaf.

Inactive Ingredients: Aloe barbadensis (organic aloe juice)*, cocos nucifera (organic coconut oil)*, pyrus malus (organic apple juice)*, vitis vinifera (organic white grape juice)*, caprylic/capric triglyceride†, sorbitan stearate, ricinus communis (castor seed oil), polyglyceryl-10 laurate, magnesium sulfate, helianthus annuus (organic sunflower seed oil)*, simmondsia chinensis (organic jojoba seed oil)*, tocopherol (Vitamin E), magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (Vitamin C), sodium hyaluronate†, malus domestica (apple fruit cell culture extract), vitis vinifera (grape fruit cell extract), citrus medica limonum (lemon leaf cell extract), iron oxides, phenethyl alcohol, ethylhexylglycerin†, citrus reticulata (mandarin oil), citrus aurantium (petitgrain oil).
